There was some confusion this past weekend on the interpretation of the
goal box area in the U6 age group. I apologize for the confusion. I
dropped the ball on getting this change communicated to the referees
before the games began. Hopefully this will clear it up for you.
1. ANY player may pass through the goal box area AT ANY TIME WITHOUT
PENALTY
2. If an ATTACKING PLAYER touches the ball while in the goal box area,
a GOAL KICK will be awarded to the defending team. NO GOAL WILL BE ALLOWED.
3. If a DEFENDING PLAYER touches the ball while in the goal box area, a
CORNER KICK will be awarded to the attacking team.
4. If the BALL COMES TO REST in the goal box area, a GOAL KICK will be
awarded to the defending team. |
